About Rockport

Welcome to Rockport, Fulton, and Lamar… and welcome to St. Charles Bay RV Park!

Rockport offers the best of what we expect from the Texas coast, with serene, pristine vistas and wildlife preserves adjacent to fishermans’ paradises and access to the Gulf of Mexico. Fishing and watersports are a big deal here, but those in the know understand that Rockport is the perfect getaway spot for the entire family.

RVs are a great way to enjoy everything Rockport has to offer without paying high hotel and rental rates, especially during vacation season. Rockport and Fulton offer a select few great restaurants and shops with a relaxed atmosphere. Aransas Pass is a few minutes away with more activities on offer and a ferry to Mustang Island/ South Padre Island. Corpus is just a few minutes farther south, and you can find everything you expect from a big city packed into a slightly smaller footprint. The USS Lexington is an actual WWII-era aircraft carrier, and a world-class aquarium is right next door!

Discover Rockport

You can find me at various record and used book stores on my days off, or frequenting one of the zellino’s restaurants (there’s one in Rockport and one in Corpus) with the family. When I need something spicy, I head to Aran~as or Los Comales, and I pretty much need that all the time! By all means, take my word for it, but if you want a second opinion, check out THIS LIST of 100 things to do in Rockport and Fulton. I’m still working through some of the activities on that list myself.

The perfect getaway from home

We have 60 years of family ownership and management in Rockport, and we are thrilled to be on the Bay in Lamar. Enjoy the relaxing water views of the Bay and have a home base for exploring Rockport and Fulton, island and beach excursions, fishing, and sailing, water activities, or trips to Corpus. We hope you love it here.

St. Charles Bay RV Park exceeded all our expectations. The pristine swimming pool offered a fantastic way to relax and cool down, and the well-maintained laundry facilities were a convenient amenity. We spent memorable hours fishing on the pier, enjoying the stunning views of the Texas coast. The park’s friendly community, combined with its proximity to delectable restaurants and thrilling coastal adventures on Padre Island, made our stay absolutely perfect.

This park is clean, quiet, and just outside of town near a boat launch on the Bay. I love the pier! I love to watch the waves come in off the Gulf. This is how good I imagined retirement would be.

I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for such an awesome weekend! We parked our travel trailer at your park last weekend, and it was absolutely lovely! The pool looks like it was just redone, and a new deck no less! It was quiet, and perfect for our little family to relax, take in the sea air, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. When we forgot our detergent, we are so grateful for you for lending us enough to wash our beach towels and trunks. We cannot wait to visit Rockport and your park again.
